Nothing makes a day more fun than making cute homemade crafts. What makes it even more meaningful? Making a paper craft for a holiday, like Valentine’s Day!

Preschoolers and toddlers love being creative and exploring with different textures, shapes, and ideas. It can be tough to find what to make, especially at a toddler level.

That’s why I put together a list of Valentine’s Day crafts for toddlers to enjoy these cute crafts and put a smile on your child’s face.

Valentine’s Day comes after the highly anticipated Christmas season. Toddlers and even preschoolers are still getting over the Christmas tree coming down and the fun the holiday season brought.

Here is a great way to make a Valentine’s Day ornament! The kids can hang their project wherever you please once done. Plus, they use those conversation hearts every gets, but no one eats.

This is such a great Valentine’s Day craft for toddlers that helps with fine motor skills. It takes focus to string cereal on pipe cleaners!

You can also use this as an educational opportunity to teach your preschoolers about birds and finding food in the winter.

I don’t know what it is, but toddlers LOVE finger painting. As they grow into preschoolers, it seems that doesn’t fade. We just don’t provide them the chances to still create homemade finger painting crafts!

This is a cute Valentine’s Day paper craft to allow expression and creativity. You can use markers or paint, depending what you have on hand and let them have at it.

The older the child, the more… detailed the picture will be. The younger the child, the more… “abstract” it will be (and there’s nothing wrong with that!). Your toddler will be so proud of the thumbprints they created no matter what it looks like.

Some toddlers have a knack for eating paint. I don’t know where they get it from. I mean it can’t taste good!

Thankfully this Valentine’s Day craft is perfect for them. Use a paper towel roll to create a heart shape and let them go at it!

If your child doesn’t eat paint, you can always use actual paint, but it’s not necessary here!

I am really loving the thumbprint pictures. I've never seen thumbprint used in art for kiddos before, but I'm going to try this idea. Looks super easy.
