As a mom, it can be tough making the best choices for your child. What should they eat and when? Should I be letting them play in the dirt? Is Paw Patrol really educational?
We’re forced to make everyday choices that may or may not have an impact on them. When it comes to toys, it’s the same thing. A baby doll may teach them about caring, a game may teach them about rules, and magnetic building blocks may teach them how to boost creativity and build imagination.
I make the best choices I can for my daughter. I give her opportunities and let her go wild with them. There’s just something I love about seeing how her brain works and giving her ways to boost creativity. Thankfully my husband has the creative gene. He can take anything and start building with it, whether it is from design or free hand. Me, not so much.
I need instructions on exactly how to do something and still need guidance. We are still learning what gene Leah has, but we give her any chance to boost creativity.

A Great Way to Boost Creativity
We’re always looking for a good mix of toys; Ones our whole family can use and grow with. Crenova Magnetic Building Blocks have been a great addition to our collection.
Leah loves putting together pieces while she discovers how the magnets work. My husband, Ben, has been having a blast with them too. He’s a big kid at heart. I can’t tell you how many different structures he’s put together that amaze both of us.
I have also been getting into the building mode. Of course I use the packet of ideas included (it’s 30 pages!), but I now consider myself a pro magnetic block builder.
I am pretty sure they put that packet in there just for me. The directions can get a bit intimidating as the structures get more advanced in the book, but honestly, if you’re using this set with toddlers or any young children, you’re going to be making smaller models anyway.
The set comes with 92 pieces, including the pieces needed to make the Ferris wheel and cars. I do wish it came with all the pieces to make every design in the book. Toward the end of the packet additional pieces are needed, which can be confusing when trying to make them.
I am a stay at home mom, so finding toys and activities my daughter and I can do together, is a must. Of course a 2 year old gets bored quickly. I can’t tell you how many times we buy a new toy and she loves it for a day and never plays with it again (literally).
That’s why I love these magnetic building blocks. If she gets bored of piecing them together, we can make a truck out of them for her to play with. If she gets bored of that, we can put together a Ferris wheel.
The options are endless! I love seeing her face when she sees my husband put together different structures. She’s amazed with what can be built and you can see her mind moving.
Educational Play Too
We’ve also been playing around with the letters and numbers included. My daughter loves to count 1…2…5…6! If we can get her to know 3 and 4, she’s golden. This is not only building imagination, but creating an educational environment for her. She’s interested in learning what each one says, remembering the occasional letter, and constantly listing off all the colors she sees.
Crenova has created an imagination building, educational toy. They know exactly what moms like me are looking for. We’ve had magnetic blocks before, but they don’t come close to this set.
It even comes with storage! Yes, you heard that right. STORAGE! Everything fits right in the black bag provided and we put it in one of our family room cabinets until the next time she’s ready to use it. It also doubles as a backpack, so you can take it anywhere with ease.

My son used to love playing with anything magnetic (like those letters for the fridge). It’s a great way to boost creativity and pass the time.
