Mother’s Day is a time to thank and honor all those lovely women in our life. But guess what, one of those women is you! Yes, spending time with the children who make you a mother is great. I love getting homemade crafts and breakfast made for me, but there is more to it. You deserve to be pampered and relax on this special day. Here are the top 10 cheap ways to enjoy your Mother’s Day depending on if you can get a few hours to yourself (get your husband to take children out for a few hours) or if you just want some time out on your own.
Stay in this Mother’s Day
If you can get the rest of the family out of the house for even an hour, enjoy that time to yourself in these unwinding ways.
Take a nice hot bath
Relax in a nice hot bath with lavender bath salts. The lavender scent will relax you while soothing any aches you have. Just 10-15 minutes is all you need to clear your mind and enjoy the day.
Use a face mask
I know you’ve been eyeing those new face mask trends. Think charcoal mask or bubble mask. Now’s the time to buy it and treat yourself to your own spa day. Bonus points if you have it on during that nice hot bath.

Buy a box of your favorite cookies and eat them by yourself
Nothing feels better than opening a box of Oreos and eating them yourself. Mother’s Day is no exception. Treat yourself to a nice treat and don’t share!
Wine
Wine always makes everything better. Treat yourself to a nicer wine than that $5 bottle you got last week. You’ll thank yourself later.
Binge watch your favorite show
Relaxing cannot get better than sitting on the couch, eating those Oreos, drinking wine, and binge watching your favorite series on Amazon prime at the moment. Sounds heavenly, right?
It gets even better. Get a 30 day free Amazon Prime trial and stream for free!
Take a nap
When is the last time you actually took a real nap? Close the blinds and curtains and take a nice cat nap. No interruptions. With the kids out of the house, no one has to know!
Get Out this Mother’s Day
Sometimes you can’t get an hour or two to yourself inside the house. Get out the house for a bit with these relaxing ideas.
Get a mani/pedi
Buy a gorgeous new nail polish color and give yourself a mani/pedi. Bonus points if you can find a place to do your nails for cheap (think Groupon).
Get a massage
I love checking Groupon for their massage deals. They have deals on them constantly, especially around holidays like this. Locally, I found two places I could get a 60 minute massage for $39. You can typically add the 20% off or $5 off coupons they email to these purchases, so you can get one for cheap!
A night out
Get out with your friends for a nice dinner or go out to a fun bar. There are bars popping up across the country that mix drinks with other fun activities. Locally, we have a place called Radio Social that mixes a bar with a bowling alley. They even have a giant Jenga game!

Amazon Home Services
I just couldn’t pass up this idea for Mother’s Day. With all the cleaning and work you’ve done, you deserve a day off. Take the plunge and have someone else clean your home! They will clean everything! It will honestly save you a great deal of time so Mother’s Day will last and last. I placed my 3 bedroom 3 bathroom house in and it only costs $147.85 for the entire house for 3 hours! Yes, that can get costly over time, but a one time clean is just what the doctor ordered.

I love all of these suggestions! I will likely do most of them - wine, chocolate, nap, get someone else to clean my house. Love them!! I can also go for a manicure soon too... Great post!

I recently purchased a new facial scrub and have enjoyed it so much! Now to find something to get my feet ready for summer! :) And unfortunately, I have been eating too many sweets and am trying to kick some of the sugar right now, so I can't eat a box of cookies. :( It's a great idea, though! ;)

That's great you're off the sugar kick Kristin! It's still nice to relax with some almonds, homemade popcorn, or fruit parfaits! There's also no harm in indulging in a little sugar occasionally for a holiday. ;)
