December Blog Income Report – It’s the last income report of the year, which is exciting, yet sad. The end of December means the end of the holiday season and possible drops in page views and ad revenue in January.
December has been a great month as I continue to use the principles explained in Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers.
It’s been an amazing course that has increased my affiliate income dramatically for the holidays.

December Blog Income Report Stats
December saw an overtake of my air fryer and recipe articles. I guess everyone is thinking about food this holiday (me included)!
My stats are continuing to grow with a nice boost at the very end of the month.
I guess most people had off between Christmas and the New Year and spent their days on Google and Pinterest. I don’t mind that!
I am still using my free Tailwind strategy, which I credit to higher Pinterest views. It’s an amazing strategy that only takes 1 hour a month, so I can spend more time creating content.
That’s something I need to focus on being 35 weeks pregnant.
Don’t have Tailwind? No worries! Here are 100 free pins to get you started and try out this guide.
Sign up for the Tailwind strategy guide below while it’s still free. I’ve already heard great feedback from other bloggers on how it’s helped increased their views!

Income Report
Affiliate Income: $305.12
I am continuing to see a good amount of affiliate income come in with the tricks I’ve learned in the Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers course. Thanks Carly!
I will be focusing on this more going into 2019. Even with more effort, I know this number will drop going into January with Christmas behind us.
Ad Income: $325.17
Yep, I TRIPLED my ad income this month! 2 months ago I had a goal of hitting 25K sessions that I missed.
Well, guess what? I hit 25K sessions in the last 30 days during the month of November. This allowed me apply to Mediavine and get ACCEPTED!
Here’s a quick breakdown of how much more ad revenue I made from Mediavine compared to Adsense in the same month.
Adsense: Dec. 1 – Dec. 19: $66.43
Mediavine: Dec. 19 – Dec. 31: $258.74
I expect this number to drop into January as ad rates decrease after the holidays. I’ve heard January is the lowest month for ad revenue, while December is the highest.
$630.29

Expenses: $15.00
With such high expenses in November, I made it a priority to keep them down in December.
I purchased a printable for the first time to try out that aspect.
I am still monitoring the success and will explore this option more into 2019 when I find the right ones.
Total: $615.29

How Did My December Goals Go?
Optimize 7 Old Posts for Pinterest and SEO – Did not hit. I don’t know how I thought I could do this to SEVEN posts along with trying to get ahead with content when the new baby comes.
Although I didn’t finish 7 posts, I did complete 4. I have seen an increase in Pinterest page views in those posts, but know it can take months to see anything happen in Google.
Reach 32,000 Page Views – Hit. I thought this was going to be a tough goal, but I destroyed it! I ended up with more than 5,000 page views above the goal.
Have January’s Keyword Research done – Did not hit. I did get more research done than normal and know this process will get faster as the months go by. I have about 2-3 posts to finish this for next month.
Set 2019’s Budget and Goals – Hit. This was a struggle for me. I really want to grow my blog as a business and plan to, but with a new baby coming, there’s a lot of unknowns at the moment.
I decided to make my goals around what I would be happy to see, not what I could accomplish if I worked my ass off.
My overall goal for blogging is to create part-time/full-time income by the time both kids are in school.
That’s another 5+ years away, so I intend to spend those next 5 years building my website, but putting quality time with my kids first.

Reading your blog income report is so inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing. I just started blogging this month. I am so overwhelmed with the learning curve and trying to find time to blog while caring for my two little girls. Your blog looks amazing and I can’t wait to read more of your posts! Thank you for encouraging me to keep on blogging! I also want to wish you well on the arrival of your baby! May the Lord bless you and your family!

That is so great to hear Laura! The first 6 months of blogging are the hardest. Just stick with it and take breaks when you need it.
Thank you for the congrats on the baby! We can't wait to meet him. :)
